Disney Inspired Princess Costumes
If you’re like me you tend to procrastinate on Halloween Costumes. If you’re looking for a last-minute idea I’ve put together some great ideas for you. I used items from my closet and purchased a few items also. Take a look and hopefully I have been able to help you out.
Creating a Disney-inspired costume can be a fun and creative way to pay tribute to your favorite Disney characters. There are countless characters to choose from, so here are some popular Disney-inspired costume ideas and tips to help you get started.

Ariel from “The Little Mermaid”
- A long red wig, a green or blue mermaid tail, a purple seashell bikini top, and a starfish hairpin are the essentials for an Ariel costume.

Elsa from “Frozen”
- A blue, sparkly dress, a blonde wig, and a tiara are must-haves for an Elsa costume.
ELSA INSPIRED OUTFIT:

Merida from “Merida”
- Merida’s costume includes a red wig, long green dress, boots and a bow and arrows.
MERIDA OUTFIT:
For the bow I used a stick from outside and twine. Quiver was made out of cardboard and arrows are sticks and paper.

- Princess Tiana is known for her beautiful green ballgown. Look for a dress or gown in a shade of green that matches Tiana’s iconic look. It should have a ballgown silhouette with a full skirt.

For the flower details I used pieces of felt!!

Aurora from “Sleeping Beauty”
- Princess Aurora is most famously known for her pink ballgown. Look for a pink gown with a ballgown silhouette, off-the-shoulder sleeves, and a full, flowing skirt. The dress should ideally have a corset-style bodice with a sweetheart neckline.

Pocahontas from “Pocahontas”
- Pocahontas is known for her earth-toned, one-shoulder dress. Look for a brown or tan dress with a single shoulder strap and a fringed asymmetrical hemline. The dress should have a flowy, bohemian style. You can add additional fringe to the dress if it doesn’t already have it.
POCAHONTAS OUTFIT:
I used felt for the tattoo and for the the fringes you can use felt also.

- Snow White is known for her iconic blue and yellow dress with puffed sleeves. Look for a dress with a blue bodice, yellow skirt, and red ribbon accents. The dress should have a high collar and a sweetheart neckline.
