The Perfect Halloween Decor Inspiration
Halloween is one of our favorite holidays for decorating. My girls get really into decorating too!! Of course, we have to bring some Halloween fun into their bedrooms. We normally decorate their book shelves to reflect the current season or holiday!
Here’s a list of a few of our favorite Halloween Children’s Books! I also included some decoration inspiration we used on their book shelves and around their room to give it that spooky and festive flair!
Fun Halloween Shelves
We purchased our shelves from Target and we also got the shelf decor from there as well! These shelves are pretty deep so you can easily fit up to five books or fewer with some accent decoration pieces.
Some of our favorite Halloween Reads
These are some of our favorite Halloween Children’s Books. They are filled with beautiful illustrations and captivating stories to get your kiddos ready for Trick-or-Treating!
Spookley the Square Pumpkin
This is probably one of my girls favorite books. Netflix has a short movie based on this character and it’s just the cutest. The message is definitely my favorite part. My girl’s loved him so much we decided to get each of them their very own spookley pumpkin to cuddle and also use as their bed decor.
B is for Boo
This cute little book is perfect for children learning their alphabets. It goes through every letter, as related to Halloween themed things!
Halloween is Coming
We loved the illustrations in this book!! The story was also very cute filled with fun rhyming words. It helps in building excitement that children―and adults!―feel as the magical and mysterious night of Halloween approaches.

When we saw their was as series and with a Halloween book we were thrilled! They love the lift the flaps in this large, sturdy board book where they find out who’s dressed up in each costume!
Trick or Treat, Bugs to Eat
Trick-or-treat, smell my feet, give this cut little bat lots of BUGS to eat! We love that at the end of the book it includes fun facts and educational information.
