One of the toughest tasks as a stay-at-home mom is coming up with new and innovative activities for my toddler. Not only do I want it to be educational, but it has to be fun to hold her limited attention span! Sure coloring, Play-Doh and puzzles are all fantastic activities, but can they only go so far in sustaining that attention span. In no time, those activities become mundane when worn out – especially to a toddler. Let’s be real, they have a new favorite thing every five minutes – am I right parents?! LOL
A couple of months ago, I was asked to review Kid Wonder boxes! Saying I was impressed is an understatement. These boxes blew away my expectations! Kid Wonder delivers both creative and educational monthly boxes for children. Each box is filled with a new educational adventure every month.
What are Kid Wonder boxes
Kid Wonder boxes is a monthly subscription service just for kids! Recommended for ages 3-6, your box arrives with everything you need for a fun-filled adventure. Whether it is imaginary, cultural or historical, your child will be excited to explore their very own themed box!
What You Get
(Bullets taken from website)
- A new themed box each month with crafts and activities, all materials included.
- Step-by-step instructional cards that provide visual and written instructions to complete each activity.
- An educational activity book featuring activities that support early learning milestones.
One of my favorite things about these boxes is that Kid Wonder has easy-to-follow instructional cards with scales of messiness, difficulty and time involved. The step-by-step guide is very easy to follow and they have even included a QR code you can scan for even more inspirational ideas!
Take a look at all the projects from the box we received (This was for the month of October)!
Overall Opinion
Like the last box we received, I’m blown away by the detail behind each and every activity. October’s theme “Let’s Play Animal Hospital” was a huge hit with my little girl. She’s quite the animal lover! She absolutely loved learning about what a Veterinarian is and how they help animals. When I told her she got to dress up as one, her eyes lit up with excitement and she proceeded to run to her room to grab all her animals she was “going to take care of!”
Overall, this month’s box was just as impressive as the last! The activities are neatly packaged in individual baggies! Even though the recommended ages is 3-6 years old, my almost 2-year-old found something to play with in each activity set. With my help, she was able to do the arts and crafts!
We had a fabulous time doing the projects and highly recommend these boxes!
