More coffee please.
As parents of two small children, there is no shortage of coffee in our house. I don’t believe we could function without it. Between the two a.m. night wakings and middle-of-the-night diaper duty, our children keep us busy. Coffee has become a staple in our home and we can use all the energy and caffeine help we can get.
Moms Meet gifted my husband and I with the Keurig® K-Duo Essentials™ Single Serve & Carafe Coffee Maker. This machine has all the bells and whistles. Not only is this coffee-maker super convenient, but it has the option of making a single cup or a whole pot!

About Keurig® K-Duo Essentials™ Single Serve & Carafe Coffee Maker
Upon opening the Keurig® K-Duo Essentials™ Single Serve & Carafe Coffee Maker I was pleased with its size; not too big or too small. This coffee maker-is so handy, now you don’t have to choose between K-Cup® pods and ground coffee – you can have both or either. I’ve always been a huge fan of K-Cups® because I never drink more than a cup of coffee, but when I have company I now have the option of making a full pot and serving my guests.
My husband, who is quite the coffee snob, can grind his beans and brew in the carafe side. He prefers dark roast coffee and I like light – We are both able to have the coffee we desire, without any waste.
On the K-Cup® side you can brew 8, 10 or 12-ounces, as well as, 8, 10 or 12-cup carafe-worth of ground coffee goodness on the other side. This energy-efficient coffee maker comes with a glass 12-cup carafe and the heating plate keeps your coffee warm. I really love the auto-off feature for both the brewer and the heating plate. The water reservoir located on the back feeds both ends of the machine and holds up to 60 ounces. The Smart Start feature allows your coffee maker to heat, then brews in one simple process. No need to wait for it to heat before selecting your cup size.
In addition to all the features listed above, I love that the Keurig® K-Duo Essentials™ Coffee Maker has a Pause & Pour feature that allows you to pause for 20 seconds mid-brew so you can pour fresh coffee without having to wait for the full pot to finish brewing. I have been thoroughly pleased with this machine as it has simplified my morning routine and saved me so much time.
Our Opinion
Keurig® K-Duo Essentials™ Single Serve & Carafe Coffee Maker has been a home run for me! Now my husband and I can enjoy our preferred blends of coffee by using our desired roast of pre-ground K-Cup® pods. He can also use his freshly grounds in the opposite carafe side, if he prefers. I just love that this coffee-maker doesn’t lock you into one or the other; you have options. In addition to your favorite ground coffee, or choosing from hundreds of delicious K-Cup ® Pod varieties of coffee, it’s also capable of brewing tea, cocoa, and more.
Personally I prefer the K-Cup® side, especially while trying to make coffee and hold my new baby in one arm and wrangle my toddler with the other. I don’t have to worry about the mess of coffee grinds and changing filters. The K-Cup® coffee-maker is super easy. As long as the water reservoir stays filled, just pop in a new pod and choose the brew side, your cup size and in no time you’re enjoying your deliciously brewed cup of coffee. With other Keurig staple features like energy efficiency, auto-pause, and straightforward controls, this versatile brewer is a perfect addition to any kitchen.
